Fuck Fast Fashion!
We don't want to wear plastic clothing!
We don't want to support sweat-shops
or child labour.
We reject homogenous, mass-produced crap
and micro-trends.
We want POCKETS
and vintage prints
and whimsy
and cool shit that no-one else has!
Every piece I make is unique, handmade or upcycled by me in my Greymouth New Zealand studio.
Its just me - I source the materials, I design, I sew, I run my socials, I photograph completed pieces,
I measure my creations and list them here.
Then I wrap them up to send off to their forever homes with a little piece of me in every one of them.
Its not a fast process - but this is very much NOT fast fashion.
Cedrics Place is all about slow fashion with a purpose and sustainability for the planet.
Clothing from Cedrics Place is made almost entirely from reclaimed textiles. These gorgeous fabrics often come
to me by way of op-shopped (or thrifted) treasures, market-place finds and vintage-shop browsing.
I also have amazing friends who gift me beautiful stuff from time to time!
Every year 180,000 tonnes of clothing and textile waste is thrown away in New Zealand landfills.
That's equivalent to 6429 shipping containers of waste, or 34kgs per person every year.
Our beautiful planet is drowning in textile waste and I don't want to be a part of that,
and I know that you don't either.
Thank you
for supporting my tiny, home-grown, New Zealand business
Please do take a look around my store.
New garments are being added every 2 weeks, so keep checking in
